My New Year Steemit Party Experience
To express my gratitude for all the love that I received from my followers I hosted a “100% UPVOTE FOR ALL!!!” Party
With 133 comments and 345 views so far, it went well except a few glitches, and at least one New Year Resolution, which I am sharing with you guys now.
The Glitches First:
When I offered unconditional 100% upvotes for everyone, you have to tell me isn’t it resonable to expect that each one of the invitee follows unwritten rule of ethics and respects everyone else in the party including the host?
Now, please tell me, will it be fair by any standard to enter multiple comments for upvotes?
There were quite a few who kept commenting again and again. In the beginning I just kept giving 100% upvote to every comment not realizing that multiple comments would be possible. It didn’t occur to me because I myself wouldn’t have done that. It would not be fair to others whose reward values go down because of your self-centered multiple comments, and at the same time it made my job a bit more cumbersome as I had to check every upvote for multiple comments.
That’s precisely what amounts to “spamming”, and that’s how some of you are flagged by others. But as I said in one of my earlier posts, I don’t judge people, and I don’t flag anyone, and will never do that. Because I don’t believe in castigating anyone, rather I believe in counseling and rehabilitating. I also said:
Trust Not Only Begets Trust, It Conquers Untrust.
I don’t judge people and I will not judge your actions either. I do understand most inappropriate actions are a result of circumstances. So that brings me to:
My New Year Resolution:
Some of you have been communicating with me regarding how best I can help them on this platform. At least one of them, I will not take his name, realized his error of judgement and was very humble and apologetic. I never made New Year Resolutions in my life, but I guess I am doing it for the first time. May be for this well meaning gentleman, and perhaps for anyone who can benefit from my resolution.
My resolution is to help the newbies and novices here, who do not have sufficient resources, means, or skills to garner enough attention to their content. My good friend @ormus has agreed to help. It will not cost the content posters anything upfront. Those who want to take advantage can sign up at www.sharonomics.com. More details will be posted in a subsequent blog.
Post the names of offenders and we can start down voting them.
we want them to become good bloggers and help them to go away from @cheeta !!

Oh dear I don't believe in castigating infractions. I believe in rehabilitation. And the whole idea of my new year resolution is to give them chance. So let's see how many come forward and take it.

Where there is ethical there will always be unethical. Courtesy, lack of it.
Appreciate you still upvoting the rest of us even though there were people sorta abusing your kindness. And kudos for not judging. Really some people are just new here and they don't know any better. I upvoted my heart out on the first day and depleted till 30% XD

@danielwong a comment that's generic without any relevance to the content is nothing less than a spam, but a comment that further's a conversation isn't spam and deserves to be rewarded for enhancing the quality of the content. So if I am not flagging spam to avoid negativity, I should proactively promote positivity. There's no other way I can do that but upvote them generously.
