Dear all

Many of you will have noticed with great pleasure, that it´s now possible to upload images directly into the post editor. I think this is another important step to pave the way towards broader adoption of the Steemit network.

However, I believe it would be important to know for many users what happens with the metadata associated with a given image, when it is uploaded directly into the editor. Is the metadata conserved, altered or scraped off completely?

With a meta data viewer like this one you can easily check what kind of information a photo can convey about the person who shot it.

It would be wonderful if the developers could take the time to come back with an answer to this question.

Thanks

Shaka

Your welcome! The new feature was introduced just within the last 24h. But it seems that it´s up to the users to notice such updates and to report them to the community. I´d wish that such updates would be accompanied by an announcement from the official @steemitblog. This would ensure that everyone arrives at the same page in short time.

I also found out about it more or less by chance. Without an official announcement I think it takes quite a while until everyone is at the same page...
