Hello Steemit Why? The begginers or the low STEEM power are getting just pennies while the top rewaded Highy STEEM power sucking all the STEEM dollars. The rule should be revised

I have joined the Steemit last week and i daily post about 2 to 4 stories to the Steemit platform and i always try my best to share some good information specially about Steemit News, But i worry and also confused because i keenly watched daily the Steemit voting to the different users. when any high STEEM power user share the same and he gets only 20 to 50 upvotes his earning boost some time $500 but at the same when same type post shared by low STEEM power user then after 60 plus upvote the balance always watched about $0.50 to $0.99. below i amsharing some screen shorts of this confused situation.

Below is another screen short you can see the difference as i observed daily the same situation.

I think Steemit may change the Steem power voting rule or set any other values that every steemit user get benefits and can get payout by sharing good content to Steemit platform.

At the moment i request to the high STEEM power users must share there small help to the Lower STEEM power users.

Sort:

The issue is that "valuable content" = "content that people with steempower like". It doesn't matter if 10,000 people really like a post compared to a few whales. Even though this is total idiocy and obviously NOT an accurate reward for value.

Steemit right now is the only game in town that rewards you at all, but it's not like forking it is hard. A fork that did a more reasonable distribution of rewards would quickly become more popular.

You're right, the problem is that the reward is quadratic rather than linear, which is very unfair to small users.

E.g. you would think that a user with 10 SP has 100 times less weight than one with 1000 SP, but no, he actually has 10000 times less weight.

BUT if you get 100 users with 10 SP together, then you get as much weight as one guy with 100 SP.

I'm not sure if devs are willing to change quadratic reward function (say, x^1.5 would probably produce more even distribution without being completely linear), but small-SP users (I think people call them minnows) might get a better deal if they work together.

@killerstom you explain very well but if the rule remained in current phase then the users have 100+ SP must help the lower SP users.

The system is designed in a way that the people who hold the most power also have the most to lose if the site doesn't do well. This encourages the large holders of Steem Power to carefully select what they want to curate. This also fights against bots that have 40 accounts with no steem power . When the hoard of bots upvotes a post it doesn't help the post at all. If you want to earn money around here comment and blog. Curation is a waste of your time in the early stages!

that's our system.... and this system should be revised. right now, ONE vote from @ned worth 1500usd(with a little variation of couse). and it's not like he is paying 1500, all he have to do is upvote (and he actually get paid for doing that).

This difference create the frustration specially for new users when they will aware of such rule they may more tense and frustrate because no big worth Steem power user vote the low Steem power user.

Part of the issue is, one person made over 50 accounts, all with the minimum steem power, and he is using them to spam upvote almost every post with the steem or steemit tags. He is also voting with only 1% weight behind each of those votes. That's what probably happened in the top 2 posts of your first picture at least. One guy spam upvoted them with many accounts. That's the reason it is based on vested stake, not raw number of votes. It is very easy to make spam accounts with low steem power and thus get "votes". It is very costly to make an account with a large amount of vested stake.

You are 100% right my last three post gets these spam votes as i shared the post at once with in minute about 40 dummy or spammy votes costed to my post and i have seen other user posts with same status. no the problem is that how in discourage these type of users and get super power users for the post for upvotes.

Youve made some really good points there. I looked on the web for more info about the issue and found most people will go along with your views on this steem profile

Yes this issue or matter should discussed as this is social platform and in social network every one have right to share and discuss the issues which maximum users facing.

Yeah, it's a frustrating situation indeed. I'm trying to do a small part to help out. If you want to find out how by visiting my post at https://steemit.com/steemit/@robsteady/tell-me-how-you-ended-up-at-steemit-and-get-an-upvote

For the community to succeed we're all going to need to help each other out.

Nice posting i keenly observed and observing that situation and i think most of my friend will frustrated because every one love Steemit and this is at the moment the only decentralized big reward social media platform.

Yeah, I'm hoping when some other people get involved with vote sharing efforts that engage the community that things will start to look more like people imagine it can be.

Yes @robsteady Steemit platform is boosting very fast and in the startup this type of issue must be resolved to boost it in fastest way to the world.
