For many here it is obvious as to why you should be blogging on Steemit, but why should you ONLY be blogging on Steemit? Well I'd like to make my case and then officially renounce blogging anywhere else.

Showing Support

The first and simplest answer is I want to support Steemit because Steemit and the people here help support me. Instead of competing with companies for a spot in the feed, I can work with other people like me who believe in the technology and community. By exclusively writing with Steemit I am showing my support and endorsement and boycotting the principles held by other blogging platforms that charge you fees or advertise (wordpress, medium).

Long Term Investment

Steemit is a long term game, the more you work at it the more you will get out of it. Build a foundation and a community and be genuine and you earning money will be a result or a symptom of your hard work. If I waste time and money on other platforms for advertisements etc. I take away from my investment here which PAYS me instead of me paying for its service/use.

Time Spent Verse Results Gained

Other platforms are designed to utilize your private information, sell it, advertise at you. There use the veil of helpfulness and togetherness to make it seem like they are out for our best interests when really you and your content are usually just needles in a haystack of corporate garbage. With Facebook cutting back on that, they leave even less room for you to get noticed as a page posting. I made a similar post to this on Linkedin as to why I won't be posting there anymore. Some things just get outgrown and it seems like in the past year or two Linkedin articles sort of died out. It's unfortunate, but luckily enough Steemit was here to help take over and massively improve upon it. I'm writing 1-2 articles daily!

Only Steemit From Here On Out

Anyways this is my formal way of saying no more wasting time or endorsing other platforms for selling my private information and wasting my attention and time with advertisements. Steemit is my main platform of choice (and @Steepshot of course, all the sub-platforms) from now and my other social channels will only be used as a means of supporting this as well as spreading some awareness within those social channels for people who haven't already learned about Steemit. Facebook groups are still relevant for connecting with other Steemit users and I've seen some people on Twitter with lists, but currently one major thing missing is the real-time communication aspect for Steemit and groups/communities. When these come into play I won't even have to write something like this because everyone will be jumping on the band wagon.

Hopefully this maybe gave you some insight as to why I am so into Steemit and as a social marketer I treat this like monetized and gamified social media of which I play the hero, and it's pretty fun. Steemit is for the people and everything else is for the business. Plain and simple.
