Imagine Widespread Steemit Adoption 🌎
Imagine massive widespread use of Steemit and what it could mean for infrastructure, education, entrepreneurship, startups, innovators, charities, political campaigns, and more, all funded by the people’s influence transparently to everyone.
So, I just wanted to write a brief little idea exploration of what the future could look like if Steemit had widespread adoption and eventually most people moved over to Steemit.
Politics
Steemit could be used to show who we want to vote for by delegating our power and upvoting their campaigns to show support. That way we would be able to endorse who we want to help and fund their campaign without actually having to donate real money.
Taxes
Similar to politics, this could be used to make decisions regarding how your taxes could be spent. For example, imagine you wanted a better health package, so you simply delegated more Steem power towards your health plan. If you wanted a car you would delegate power towards a car lease. Everything could be controlled and regulated by Steemit
Charities and Non-Profit Organizations
Similarly to the political campaign funding, you can choose to upvote and delegate power to charities and causes you want to support. It's much easier for poor people to support other poor people with their influence rather than their money that they don't have. This allows everyone to be able to give back in some way.
Entertainment
As we already know, Dtube among other platforms on Steemit as well as Steemit itself provide an awesome platform for entertainment, specifically music. This platform allows musicians and artists to make content for free and earn money without having to push affiliates, or advertisements on their fans. This will only become more relevant as more platforms form around and the current ones strengthen.
What's next?
There are so many possibilities and this is just me thinking out loud, but I see so much potential for what Steemit can be used for! Comment some ideas you have or any articles like this!
