Fair Warning: I'm Blacklisted, so be Careful When Upvoting, Resteeming, etc.
I think this is a fair thing to do, especially for newer users.
For those of you that may not be aware, I'm not the most popular kid in school this side of the internet. Or any side, for that matter. I've been blacklisted on the platform by every major stakeholder.
I also have reason to believe that a few users have lost support/been blacklisted due to their friendship with me, so if you feel like upvoting or resteeming my stuff, or leaving positive comments, you may want to reconsider it because it may cost you.
For what it's worth, this is how the platform was designed. I've always been the guy who says that it's a stake-based voting platform.
People don't upvote posts, they upvote people.
It's not a good thing, or a bad thing, it's just a thing.
I'm not entitled to anything, no one is.
I'm not someone who does very well in an environment like this where you need to be careful about what you say and who you say it to, due to my tendency to shoot my mouth off.
Steemit is a game and it has certain rules. Just like anything in life.
Those who want to engage with me and be friends with me, awesome. But I wouldn't blame anyone for distancing themselves from me if they need the money.
I totally understand.
Steemit has nothing to do with real life relationships, it's just business. I don't want people to lose out just because they decided to be friends with me, it would make me feel pretty terrible.
That said, I'll respect those who decide to stick with me.
I'll stick around because no one clearly wants me to stick around and that's pretty much how I operate.
next time you click refresh, you will see some support in your pending reward shit.... good honest post. I liked it, and I upvoted it - so you matter on this platform, healthy debate, sometimes fights, and sometimes pure joy.

I could do with some more money, and so could the Church of Piglet, but I'd rather distance myself from the reward pool rapists and the whales and witnesses who stopped caring for Steemit completely than from the ones I follow, even if they are a bit of a pain in the arse every now and again.

I think you may be sort of a drama queen(I mean, didn't you quit a couple weeks ago?), but I don't really know what's going on.
To be honest, the sentiment in this post makes me more comfortable voting for you. In real life I don't really have any friends, so not making friends on the internet doesn't bother me one bit. Making enemies, though, is usually a waste. It makes you complicit in your own sabotage by wasting your life time and life energy. If you make enemies, make sure you are doing it for fulfillment and enjoyment.
Nah, I didn't quit. I said I'd take a break, but then people wanted me to stay so I decided to just burn my post rewards for a while.
But it was a shitty post, nonetheless. And drama queeny. I was annoyed for being ridiculed for advertising Steemit/STEEM in a crypto group because people looked at the trending page and saw Berwick, for instance, and called me a moron.
And I kind of agreed with it since I have negative views of Berwick myself.
Then I had enough of a nicotine withdrawal going to flip a lid. Then that post sort of happened.
Anyway, upvoted because you're right.
Telling people they're shitbags or whatever is going on doesn't usually go over too well. If what you're doing isn't working for you, move on. I noticed you have been here for a year and a half longer than I have and follow half as many people. Unfollow those fucks you are having problems with, and find some new people to follow and interact with. Steemit is only a business for the people who want it to be. I would say it can be whatever you want it to be, but it can't. It's up to you to make the most of what it is for yourself.
Oh, I have zero problems with the people I'm following. I follow 50 or so people, and last I checked I think I liked them all. So, that's fine.
I'm just one of those people who would enjoy an influx of intelligent users with stuff to say, but I feel there are reasons why lots of people like that avoid this place.
I'm also not even complaining about what's happened to me. You don't call a person a shitbag without knowing what you're doing.
This post is to serve as a warning for people who care about their following/support/autovotes/whatever because affiliating with me may cause one to lose out.
Like I said, I'd get a guilty conscience if I didn't at least give people a heads up.
Now it's up to them because I've given them a fair warning.

Sure, but that's really not what Steemit is about, to be fair. The site is just a front. It's not a social media site. It's a way for people to not have to get a job.
No one wants to risk having to go to work. And I'd hate to be responsible for someone suffering just because they're my friends. I'd the worst friend in the world.

Lots of reasons, I'm sure.
I'm critical of Steemit, I've been critical of the whales, I've been critical of a lot of things. I made a lengthy post a while back about how the way that the trending page is makes Steemit look embarrassing, and that post makes me a giant hypocrite for still being here, so there's that and that's totally fair, in my opinion.
It also seems to be the case that people in the #price chatroom are umbrella blacklisted in general. At least the people who are most active.
We're known for being too critical and we're perceived as "toxic" to the platform.
It is what it is.
Steemit is a free market and this is how all markets work; I was one of the three people who thought the second season of Twin Peaks was OK, but the market decided that it sucked enough for the show to get canceled.
I don't make that decision.
I couldn't get through the second season of Twin Peaks. But I won't hold it against you. :)
