RE: Translation of the Welcome Page
Good initiative! Even though it will only benefit new users if everything else is also translated, which I imagine is already part of this project.
SOoo, I checked the Arabic translation and the outcome is fairly good, it requires some editing and few corrections to make it correct, smooth and consistent.
Here are the parts that didn't translate well, or at all:

"Get engaged" --> "Get involved" (same issue in Spanish)
"attention-grabbing" --> "attractive"
URL --> removed
"live help" --> "help" (this didn't translate into any language)
liquid --> removed (no one knows what that is in any language anyways)
"Aiming for at least 50% your own words/images per post is" --> "Quotes should not exceed more than half of a publication. Include your own thoughts, photographs, art, and ideas."
It's a real shame that words that can't be changed, like 'resteem', 'curation', 'feed', and 'power up' aren't translating.
I see.
1- The 5 phrases can now be translated since you reformulated them in a simpler and a more straight-forward way.
2- I laughed so hard at the "liquid" part xD
3- The only way to translate these 'untranslatable' terms is by using the technique of Transliteration ( Opting for the word as it using the closest phonetic equivalents of the language) or simply paraphrasing it into an understandable short phrase which is not very practical for such a text.
We're going to try and get a properly translated version of this page up somewhere soon if this project is accepted by Steemit Inc. I'll likely have to ask for your help with that.
