Why is STEEMNOW such a useful site for all Steemians?
Voting & curation are can be observed in detail from this site. I discovered steemnow a few months ago and it has proven to be immensely useful in keeping me up-to-date on all things relating to Steemit voting & curation.
Steemit is still in its infancy and does not yet have the ability to offer us as much information as other sites such as this.
So what does steemnow offer us?
Let me break it down for you:
My user value
The first interesting thing to see is the exact value of my current vote at 100%. You can see above that mine is currently at $3.82
It would be more than this if my overall VOTING POWER were at 100%. It is currently still recovering from all the adjustments which needed to be made after the last hardfork when it started dropping much faster than before.
In truth I am still fine-tuning the percentages allocated to each user through steemvoter to find a balance where my VOTING POWER is not decreasing over time.
Daily rewards
It is useful to see Author & Curation rewards for today & yesterday. On Steemit, we can only see these figures as weekly amounts.
If you click on the small icon to the right of Curation Today you will see this:
Up-to-date information at your fingertips.
Settings
You have a choice of Dark or Light!
I choose Dark :)
Voting Power
Here you can see exactly where your voting power is at. If it is anywhere below 80% I stop voting for 12 hours and let it rise back up.
Latest upvotes
This is important to see when dealing with people in steemit.chat who request your upvote in exchange for theirs. You can instantly see if they have upvoted you and at what percentage. If you are satisfied, you can return the favour.
There have been instances when I have discovered that the user claiming to have upvoted me was simply lying, hoping that I wouldn't notice and give him my upvote. He should be so lucky! I flagged him instead.
Please note that is is VERY IMPORTANT to have the same username in steemit.chat as you have in Steemit. This will avoid any confusion.
Latest curation rewards
A live stream of your incoming curation rewards is always fun to watch!

It is my hope that in time Steemit will eventually make this information available on our beloved platform...
But for now this is our best place to find it.

I know about Steemnow but never really checked it out. I've been using SteemDB everyday but now I may switch to Steemnow everyday instead after reading your post at finally checking out the site.
See how you get on with that. My personal preference is steemnow. But everyone is different :)

i just started to use the steemnow. but since i use my phone to connect, it has limited freature of it
my voting power is at 30% now. wanted to recover, vut the temptation to upvote the other is too great. LOL
i am voting at around 20% of my voting power. i check it I n steem now, that even at that percentage, it could still bring value in it.😃
Haha! I understand that feeling of wanting to upvote even when you know you should be letting your power recover! Better to not look at other peoples work for a few days and just focus on doing your own posts :)
You will need a good three days of no voting to get back to 100%

I'd still urge you to keep contributing and although the voting power might be down, the content that you provide still creates and curates content for the community. It's a win/win at the end of the day...keep at it!
