Welcome to Steemit the innovative wonderland inhabited by whales, dolphins, minnow and narwhals (thanks @battleaxe) roaming around the mighty and vast ocean of incredible content creators and their articles just awaiting you at 'new'.

There is so much valuable content piece after piece here on Streemit that you can spend hours and hours and hours without getting bored or even the need of eating, and Eating is like dope! I have actually spent more time here on Steemit consistently than I spent on various video games in the past.

Considering me sitting here with my lil Chrome Book I am probably going to continue that as it is not suited for playing any games at all . Except Socializing! Hence making Steemit the perfect place to be atm. And I do not even mind spending time here because every moment spent here is invested time instead of wasted time. 'cough' Facebook 'cough'

The German community is growing pretty awesome here on Steemi and so is their contentt. Recently I even read an article stating that Germans are #5 users here on Steemit but I have no validation of this statement. I don't even care if we are #3 or #300, it is still nice to read articles in your native language and those dealing with local politics or what's happening in Germany in general right now.

In addition to that, I also super enjoy writing down my thoughts in German once in a while as my brain simply expresses itself differently depending on the language it's thinking in and thus also exchange my thoughts with other german writers.

Disclaimer: Although I am capable of writing bilingual I have no interest in doing that consistently in the future because for me some pieces are better written in English and some pieces are better written in German and I want to continue that.

The great part about steemit, even greater than the monetary aspect, is the community. For the last 7 days I've spent 16 hours a day, almost all of my waking hours, to get to know steem(it) & cryptocurrencies and commenting and intergaging with all those awesome content creators here on this platform.

Definitely one of the most enjoyable community things to do here is to listen to the vivid discussions always arising on the SteemSpeak Discord channel. Right after waking up or while strenghtening my tan by lying in the sun I just like to enter the Voice chat and listen. Personal matters, the newest shit in the crypto scene, diet & mindfulness or vigorous arguments about flat earth theories. It's like learning about all aspects of life 24/7.

Oh right we were talking about 'contest'. The steemfeatured contest are simply a wonderful oppurtiunity to build even further connections while eventually even earning a nice price pool. Furthermore, contests are great to get your creative juices flowing

Just like how the @vocalists-trail Poetry Reading contest made me compose my own spoken poem! It's about wine and in German. Check it out!

On the other hand photo contests are also a great motivation to get your endless stream of once-made-and-left-over photographs organized and share some about the way the world is see through your lens.

Also worth looking into:

As I recently got into trading the 'trading' tag (suprise!!) and 'cryptocurrency' as well as 'bitcoin' are great to get a general understanding and up-to-date news about what's going on at the crypto market. Just make sure not to take buying advice asap from any source and doublecheck your information!

On top of that 'minnowsupport' and 'minnowtowhale' are always a good place to look for straving content creators and discover some hidden gems.
