I'm new, not an addict yet but I can see how it could get addictive, even more so when you're living in sadness. Glad to hear that steemit community was able to make you feel better and help you maybe move on.
It could be quite addictive especially when you set targets for yourself. You just find yourself glued to the site and always coming back.
