In a certain town called Ngoila lived a merchant and his family.Mr Joaddan had a wife and four children.A maid who is poorly
cared for lived with them also.He had no friend in the neighbourhood because he was very stingy. He groan and moan whenever
he sees his inlaws.He always asked his family to hide their food whenever he heard a knock from a visitor at the door during meal time.
He hardly go for any social meeting or religious gathering.He saw it as waste of time and money.His brothers and sisters hated
him because of this attitude.He never had a friend because he believe they extort money from him through one problem or the other.
Opposite his house lived a childless widow which everyone in the neighbourhood assumed to be a witch.
One day Mr Joaddan and his wife went for a tour outside Ngoila leaving their four kid and the maid.Unfortunately they had an accident and died.
Having heard about the sad news the maid took the money in her master's house and fled leaving the children to die in hunger.After several
days the children where all lean due to malnutrition.No one came to their rescue except the widow who adopted them and saw to their
success.
With the little resources she had,she sent two of the children to college and the other two to learn trade.However the children
were successful in their (respective endeavours).In the end they aboundoned the old fellow and turned deaf hears to her yearning
for help. Whenever she sent message to them for help to them they would ignore it calling her all sort of names. They have being
complaining that she had been attacking them in their dreams.
One day the eldest of the children fell sick and died. The rest three children accused the old widow of killing their sibling
with her magical power. They went as far as instigating the villagers against her. One evening some group of people stormed her
abode dragged her from her house,took turn in stoning her and finally lynched her.
