One fateful morning, the king of the community, whose only daughter was about to die over her terminal sickness which had struck her when she was still very young, invited the entire community to bid his only daughter a farewell. Everyone turned out at the palace, including the children of Roka, and each of them had a piece of gift to give to the dying princess. Only Nattat had gone with nothing, because Leila did not have anything tangible to offer her for the princess.
Roka had bought all kinds of gift items for his children in order to attract the attention of the king, and so had other notable men in the community. It was indeed quite obvious that only Nattat had gone with nothing.
When the princess came out to meet her well – wishers, she received the gift brought in by everyone but one thing she noticed was how detached hey were to her, because of her illness.
Surprisingly, as Nattat got to the palace, she went straight to the princess, hugged her passionately and whispered into her ear…

“We all brought what we have!” The princess was so moved with her compassion that she held her tight to herself and cried bitterly with her. They were still holding themselves when the king got attracted to the scene and went to see what was going on. There, the princess urged that her only source of happiness should be brought to live her in the palace, until her last day.
“Everyone else had brought a gift, but Nattat had brought ‘love’ and love is all I need…” the princess said in tears.
Immediately, the king granted her request and Nattat was taken to the palace, where she lived, and when the princess died, the king officially adopted Nattat and she lived like a full princess in the palace, where people respected her unconditionally, including Roka and his family.
Leila was also allowed access into the palace as the one who rescued Nattat and she was so glad to have taken that decision.
