It is truly the quality of a good and patient reader to actually read through a post a leave a meaningful comment, other than follow me, i follow you or the likes.
There is also the trend mentioned by @greenrun where people view a post read and comment and yet the author ignores the comments. That hurts most people's feelings i believe. Because asides from earning their upvote, ignoring their comments can be considered disrespectful. But then, people have various reasons for their actions.
