First time on the HOT section of #Steemit

I'm not even sure I know what happened. I was just casually browsing steemitstats when 30 notifications popped up for some votes I got on this post

I'm not sure if this was due to bot voting or what but that was an insane amount of votes coming in at one time. What constitutes a HOT post? Also am I just being bot voted?
