A few thoughts about how steemit can be better
Lately I've been thinking a lot about what new features should be added to steemit.
Here's some of them:
- Mentions tab: Finding mentions can be quite a hassle especially when you ignore the mention notification thinking to check at a later time.
- Follower notification: When you have a lot of followers tracking new followers can be hard.
- Analytics/Insights: A simple Analytics like the time when your followers vote, what they vote on, who is an active follower etc. can be of great help to create content what your followers will like.
- Donation button: It would be easier to tip/donate users whose posts you think are under valued.
- Resteem tab and notification: A separate tab for resteems will help keeping tracks of what post gets shared.

I like the first two ideas and the last two! If I could rank them with my personal level of importance for implementation, this would be the order.
1 - Resteem tab and notification - If you mean keeping a users posts separate from their resteems, that would be most excellent. Also a notification when someone resteems your post!
2 - Follower notification - I have over 1600 followers and it takes forever to try to make it to the end of the list to click follow. If the new user starts with a Z, I may never get to follow them!
3 - Mentions tab - If those could somehow be links stored for a little longer, until a more convenient time to check them out, that would be great. How could I not want to see what people are saying about me and how could I not want to show my support and appreciation when they speak kindly? Many of these get missed though under the current notification system...
4 - Donation button - That would streamline the process of giving to others

Yeah why not. Sometimes someone makes a great post but the if author doesn't make much money on it then we can help through donation or tipping.

Ugh yeah this happens so often!
I know. I sometimes don't have the time to check it right away and afterwards its gone. Maybe @ned should consider implementing this.
