Sugar Cane Juice
Sugar cane juice is the non-alcoholic drink I go for wherever it is available. It is liquid (we call it juice), extracted from the sugar cane by pressing. They are freshly pressed, so the juice is as fresh as it comes. Add ice to it and it is nice and refreshing.
When we were young, we had some sugar canes grown in the backyard. We would chew on the cane to extract the juice. You need to have strong teeth to do that.
This is the machine the stalls selling the sugar cane juice use to extract the juice. This is already an advancement from the mechanical ones they used in the early days.

I don't use to drink sugar cane as much as before though also not a lot before. I have more concern of the transport and storage of the sugar cane in the supply chain to the store than whether the machine is new or old tech.
It's very tasty. When I was a kid, I liked to chew on the crane, too. ;)
