STOP Reporting @zeartul to Steemcleaners. Maybe contact TheAlliance instead?!

in #steemit7 years ago

Everyone already knows (actually, probably still many that don't) that @zeartul and @bellyrub and @bellyrubbank have been involved in a theft and misdirection scandal over the last week or so. And everyone wants answers. However, in this case, @steemcleaners is not the party to use to seek a solution.

Okay..... I am not yet a member of the @steemcleaners team. My guess is that Steemcleaners have received 10 or more @zeartul reports in the last 48 hours. I am just going out on a limb here that when people get wronged, they will shout to anyone even remotely seeming to have some ability or duty to stop Scams and Bad behaviour.

Ergo, Steemcleaners are the Steemit Police.... they must be able to help me. No, sorry friend. In this case it is up to larger whales, members of @thealliance and other 'friends' and associates of @zeartul to work on making this right.

I do hope the resolution is swift. It is never good to have money stolen or lost.

This event does open up some additional questions about LARGE Steemit Paid Services. Any place where lots of money is moving, there is the chance for scammy behaviour. Best be careful. Best to never spend more than what you can afford to lose. AND best for the community to look at this action and the circumstances to decide if LARGE vote bots are putting TOO much power into one person's hands.

Again, the better solution here seems to be Curation Guilds. Independent Curation Agents. And cheap SP delegations (OR FREE) to those that are doing good work in rewarding small and "unfound" talents that are bringing quality and status to the Steemit platform. Stop paying for upvotes. Upvotes are supposed to be a result of producing good content, not a result of buying them yourself for self promotion. Self promotion should be done through meeting people and tactful, respectful mentions of your own Posts.

Hoping this all works out in the end. I do truly hope all that have steem in bellyrubbank do get all of it back!

Thx

"badactorslist" @mikepm74 did it :)

Yeah him and yeah that. I was close! Had the link right! :D

lol
nice work you two! :D

Hello ! I just read your content, I love it. I thank you for this kind of publication. Follow me @meranie and I follow you too!

Steemcleaners aee a scam themselves. All they do is harass users and upvote their own posts. Steemit doesn't need regulations, it goes against the whole point of a decentralised social network. Just filter out the shite yourselfs.

I of course, would disagree. Only occasionally does a good and honest user get harassed by steemcleaners. ANd if the honest user keeps their cool, any issue is easily solved.

If it wasn't for Steemcleaners, the steemit platform, and maybe even the price of steem would be shit right now. You can't even see all the good they have done.

They upvote their own posts in order to earn a small amount of SP, and SBD to allow their efforts to continue. Their volunteers probably used 5 - 10 hours a day fighting the spam and fraud activity that is on Steemit. Don't believe me??? Go to any tag, but especially #introduceyourself and choose NEW feed. See how many of those introduceyourself posts are not introductions at all, or ARE fake introductions made by someone that has introduced themselves 100 times.

Thx

Good to know that one needs to be a steemcleaner member to flag people. I too watch the events unfold and anxious to see the outcome. It is a good idea you have regarding to spreading the wealth in steemit. Yet inherintly steemit will allow this massive amount of SP to happen one way or another. I can imagine someone with a million dollars vested in steem can basically become a whale and start selling votes. Or some other scheme people will come up with to store massive amount of SP. Not sure if it is any good to stop upvote bots in general.

maybe you should have done some checking around before sending people to #thealliance. @zeartul was a member there and when asked to explain himself, left without a response.

@enginewitty reported this over 18 hours ago.

no one can answer for @zeartul and @bellyrub except him and he's too busy running to do so. This may well be an instance that Steemit Inc needs to find a way to step in just as they have to when copyright claims are filed.

The reason I linked them is because he has done scammy behaviour multiple times in the last 2-3 months while he continued to be a "member in good standing" there. The writing was already on the wall with this character. So yes, those that would accept him into their alliance hold at least a mild 'guilty by association' blame. Personally, I think more of the veteran and witness steemit users should have outed him a while ago. But this is just my opinion.

And, at least in the current Steemit setup, I have no easy way to know what every Steemian says all the time. Nor do I know who the alliance members are. So, I didn't know that enginewitty had said something in regards to zeartul. But I do appreciate the link!

if some one had brought some actual proof to thealliance of his conduct it would have been questioned long before it was.
