This is great news! I tried steemconnect before and it did work, but it seemed it wasn't as straightforward as it could have been.

With the initial release of my app coming up soon I'm already looking into the next set of features I'll build, some of which will definitely need authentication with the Steemit platform. It's good to know that a version 2 of steemconnect is here before I spent much effort on using the old one.
