Comment self-up-voting without up-voting the original post by top 100 authors on steem.

Inspired by this post by @jerrybanfield, I decided to take a few moments to write a similar post addressing my pet peeve here on steemit. I really couldn't care less if how anyone chooses to spend their voting power 99.9% of the time. Self-voting is perfectly OK with me, I upvote my own blog votes routinely myself, not that it will do much good, by the way, my 100% upvote is worth a measly $0.04 at the moment. One thing I do find annoying though, are people who upvote their own comments without taking the common courtesy of also upvoting the post they are commenting on.

I've seen posts make a mere few cents from upvotes getting a self-upvoted comment that made multiple dollars.
I think that is really bad manners on the side of the upvoter.

So inspired by @jerrybanfield's excellent post, I took the time to write a little script to figure out how well behaved the top 100 authors on steem are with respect to this annoying bit of behavior.

So here is my script. I took the top 100 accounts from steemwhales.com in terms of steem power and fed them to my script.
Here are the results. I'm only listing those accounts that misbehave like this is more than 0.5% of their upvotes:

The list is a bit longer, but I don't think adding the really small numbers to the list is adding anything to the point I am trying to get across. I think the Python API is really an interesting tool for doing an analysis like this with. Maybe I'll try to do a few of them in the future, if only to get a better feel for the API.

Oh, and just for today (22nd of August) I'll upvote ANY self-upvoted comment below (with my about 4 cents worth of voting power), that is, as long as you don't forget to upvote this parent post first
