Blockchain Games can Bring Cryptocurrency to the Mainstream Masses!
Today I want to talk about a major thing that I think will bring cryptocurrency to the mainstream masses: Blockchain games!
So we know that majority of people love games. And that most games these days have some form of in game currency. But at the moment most games are not Blockchain games. That means that the value in the games is not really that liquid and flowing between players. Tokens can totally revolutionize this! Since it will allow people to trade a real digital Token that then can be traded for other cryptocurrency. This will give massive incentive for humans to explore games more in depth.
Since we are building this attention economy. That means that paying attention to stuff virtually anything in the future will be able to reward you with a Token. We can see how huge the gaming industry is. And that with virtual reality it will just keep growing massive in the future. It will be an easy fun way to bring Tokens/Blockchains and Cryptocurrency to the mainstream masses without much friction.
Since the core idea of the Crypto movement is that we will still be able to do same fun stuff in life. It's just that the underlying value exchange system will be tweaked to something that is much better. Something that will allow people to communicate peer-peer and send digital value between the users instead of send the value to some greedy gaming company. It will level out the playing field. It will empower games much more. It will make people innovate much more in games because they feel they are a part of the whole journey.
We are starting to get the first Crypto games out now one for example is called warfield. Another has been Cryptokitties. On Steem we have SteemMonsters. And then we have a pool game on Android. All games in the future will reward you with cryptocurrency. Making everything much more fun. It will also remove the scammy feel that most modern games have. Since when you make value more liquid and flowing it will massively increase abundance in the whole network. It will fuel better games and innovation.
Many of these first Crypto games are very simplistic and not super advanced. But give it a few more years and we will see some truly epic digital Token games coming out.
I have always loved games but I have felt it's been a waste for me since I have never gotten any real monetary value out from them. That is about to change with Blockchain games. It will create a real digital economy. Already right now we have people that can make a living off just playing video games. We will have more people like this in the future. Then I might actually play more games! Since I highly enjoy trading various cryptocurrencies back and forth. To play with value and stake it in real time to gain more attention and influence in return.
All this might sound magic but it's not. The core difference is just that we are making value more liquid in the system and frictionless. The value was always there but we didn't have the technology to transact it between the users. With cryptography and math the game totally changes. A world of abundance is on the rise. And that will transform every sector of life. Since when you remove all the middle men innovation can happen much faster. The only gadget you will need in the future is the smartphone. And with that gadget it will be able to provide you with everything you need. Including a digital job. That might be playing video games on a Blockchain designed for just that purpose!
In the new world we are building every second you can earn potential more cryptocurrency. This means you can work all the time! And get in value 24/7!
Not everyone is into being a blogger or a photographer. But majority of people can understand games. That is why Blockchain games can bring cryptocurrency to the mainstream masses in a smooth way.

And we can focus on what we do best. Have fun living and enjoying life! A true win-win world with massive potential and endless possibility everywhere! Some people ask what the meaning of life is. I couldn't agree more with this prediction. I accredit Runescape and my time playing multi-world role-playing games to normalizing for me the idea of digital money at a young age. I saw a demo for a tank battling game being built on top of the lightning network. Also, one of the crypto projects I am invested in is FunFair, which uses a native token for online gambling games. I agree with you that games and the gaming industry will drive mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies.

I think of this daily and probably at least once per night when I awake at 3am in a puddle of my own sweat.
Very valid question and one that needs to be asked more and more by all investors.
Crypto needs a bit of a reality check. Crypro communities are far too passionate and defensive about their Crypto. We all came in to make money but have gotten caught up in the cross fire game of "my coins better than your coin".
More people need to realize that current Crypto could potentially be displaced by existing infrastructure (Amazon, JP Morgan, Walmart, Nike etc.) choosing to set a Blockchain Team up of their own and start implementing their own systems instead of choosing to adopt one we associated/invest in.
All the time we are asking - "why should this be adopted by the mainstream" will hopefully drive those leading our top Cryptos to come up with a solution to a problem so in demand that the mainstream will have no other choice but to adopt.
I agree 100%, and there are a handful of small games in development for various blockchains. The thing in games take time to make. Programming and designing of many types (music, character, level, lore, ect.) takes time. So I will patiently wait for a good blockchain game to be released. Steem Monsters seems to be doing a good job for a card game, but I want to see some real story based games come out, and see what people can do with the blockchain in video games,
Currently block chain is not that much scaleable to bring game ... in the case of etherum itself it's supports only 10-15tps per second if we use for gaming then other transaction gets delay and eventually the price of transaction will also increase... But ya in future when block chain supports million of transaction per second then definitely it's worth to bring game on block chain.
