Hey Steemians, today I will be showing you a something strange I found on Steemit!!

Last night I was checking out @Kus-knee's post about the highest post payout ever!! On the post he showed us a post that made $33,543.06 which is amazingly high!! Then I went through the comments and saw this one comment and I was very surprised!!
Here is a link to @Kus-knee's post.

@Stefen had commented this and I was extremely amazed that @xeroc had made so much on one post. Then after I went to @xeroc's blog and started looking around. Here is a picture of his amazing $47,000 post!! Here is the link too if you want to see it for yourself.

Then I thought if @xeroc made $47,000 on one post last year what would he had made on his first posts in April which is when he joined!! So I went to the very bottom of his blog but I was wrong his other post weren't as much as his $47,000 post. After checking out his first posts I notice something very very strange. @xeroc's last 4 posts were from 2 years ago!!! Here is a picture and the link to those 4 posts so you don't need to go find them like I did.

I was and still am very confused why does it says 2 years ago. The first thing is that Steemit wasn't even here 2 years ago so how could you have done a post then. Second @xeroc made his account in April 2016 which was 18 months ago and 18 months means he joined 1 and a half years ago so how did he post 2 years ago?

If you have any idea how this happened or how it is possible please comment because I am very confused. My guess is its just a glitch in the system or something like that!!

Hope you enjoyed

Back when the Whales would just vote each other up and then there was a fight about whether or not that was good for the Rewards Pool. Then there was a Flag War and the HF19 happened to supposedly limit the practice. Now, minnows make even less, because nobody wants to upvote at 100% anymore.

As for the time discrepancy.
@dantheman has a Joined date of March 2016, yet a Test post from 2 years ago

So, my guess is, there are some posts that were created while they were testing the system that had dates in the past prior to STEEMit going live.

I guess thats why this post is also showing 2 years ago!

Now, if you want to be really confused. Go look at those old posts and click on some of the profiles.
You will see Wallets with a lot of STEEM, but no SteemPOWER or that they haven't posted in over a year.

Basically, it looks like accounts were created, earned a bunch and then just were abandoned.

Can you explain what you mean by this:

"Now, minnows make even less, because nobody wants to upvote at 100% anymore"

I'm trying to manually curate and vote at 100% with my little vote. I'm not sure what you mean about this effect (noob).

When people vote for you and have over $500 SteemPOWER, they can choose to reduce the amount they vote with the slider. A year ago, everyone was upvoting each other with 100% votes and due to how things were, everyone was getting large payouts. This is the reason that people who were active on STEEMit last year are Dolphin and Whales now.

So, when new users start posting, it is very very rare that a Whale/Dolphin will give a 100% upvote. And something about HF19 was changed to prevent a lot of voting in order to help minnows, but I don't think it had the effect they expected.

I think it's very rare for a minnow to get a whale/dolphin vote of any percentage! You have to get yourself over about 45 rep on your own (with minnow help) and then maybe up toward 60 before the big guys will notice I think. Unless you are a superstar in some way - which most of us are not.

Reputation has nothing to do with getting a Whale/Dolphin to vote on your article.

I've ha several Whale/Dolphin upvotes to give me close to a $100 payout on different articles. Sometimes it is just random and sometimes there is a little bit of a pattern. I think @BlockTrades likes gardening articles.

But, yes, the majority of people make less than $0.50 per article. And if there wasn't so much spam in the feeds, I think more people would get at least that amount.
