Hi there. Great post! I was hoping you could shed a little light on something. I have just started using minnowbooster. I sent in .5 sbd and on my post i received an upvote worth around a dollar. Now on the post it displays the value in terms of US Dollars, right?? Which means you would have to calculate the difference between the SBD paid and USD received??

If it shows that your potential payout is $1, this means that at least 0.75% will be your author reward. (the rest 0.25 will go to curators). If you used 50/50 rewards plan for the post (the default setting) you will get 0.75 * 50% SBD and 0.75*50%/(Steem value in dollars) of Steem. Currently Steem is prices at 3.75.
At the end your payout shoud be around this:
0.75 * 0.5= 0.375 SBD and 0.75 * 0.5/3.75= 0.1STEEM.
On the other hand, if you used 100% powered up post, your reward will be all in STEEM or 0.1+0.1 = 0.2STEEM
