What if we could attract the Ultimate Star Wars community to Steemit? Along with building one of the largest resources of facts,information and materials found on the internet or anywhere else? Today, The Star Wars franchise is a world wide phenomenon. I have been an avid collector of vintage star wars merchandise for many years. I personally have invested/ spent many 1,000's of dollars in acquiring my respectable collection. I have invested many years studying an extensive amount of information. Information about the creation, manufacturing and distribution of the early Star Wars concepts and merchandise. Since its introduction the Star Wars line of merchandise completely revolutionized the entire concept of film brand marketing. Quickly showing the exciting potentials leading to the unimaginable financial success of a franchise after the releasing of a line of products and merchandise. The year 1977, historically changed the Motion Pictures Industry, Toy Marketing and Society and Culture as we know it. Once creator and film maker George Lucas released Star Wars our World would never be the same.

Here is an unbelievable little known fact. For over a decade there is not a single minute that passes that a star wars item is not being bought or sold. For an indication as to the validity of this statement one merely needs to spend a moment on E bay. 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year there is a Star Wars item involved in a transaction. Consider this the Dow Jones and Nasdaq are only operational during a limited number of hours only on weekdays excluding all holidays and weekends. Not to mention unlike Star Wars they are not active during the evenings and throughout the night. I guess a Casino could make the attempt to maintain the activity that Star Wars continues to deliver consumers. However with Walt Disney now owning the franchise I would still continue to steer my money towards the Star Wars bet.

There is only a handful of operations that are available for business on the scale that matches the world of Star Wars activities.To enter the world of collecting vintage Star Wars items is a never ending learning experience. Several well known celebrities are known Star Wars collectors such as rock musician Rick Springfield and actor Leonardo DiCapprio both are just a couple guys that take pride in their finds. If one hopes to be a successful collector and build a desired or respectable collection? Well be ready.

It can take years following resources to people and information that is archived throughout the internet and publications World wide. Only to discover or even learn some of the hidden or secrets to desirable and lucrative items is not an easy accomplishment. After that you will find yourself with a longer list of questions without answers that prior to your search you would not have even thought about. With the sharing of information it generally leads to competition and higher prices on the highly desired items. The more people interested leads to the supply and demand rule. Now, a so called hidden gem would not stay hidden from the mass's if information was so well known or readily available. Then again it could be discarded/destroyed easily or remain hidden because of the lack of knowledge. It is exciting when something is discovered in an estate auction or a garage sale. Just knowing the item still is out there can be rewarding.

The collector whom has invested much of his life acquiring his knowledge is not so eager to have some amateur come along and rob him/her of a chance to acquire a "holy grail" of finds or acquisitions.There is also the little known fact that both Lucas and Kenner had no idea that developing the merchandise market products and distribution on an international level would reach the magnitude it ultimately did.

So there was not much as information or records kept or cataloged in any archive. Also the fact that the demand for items required the outsourcing and incorporating of manufactures and distributors in other countries spread all over the world. There was not a developed structure or a team to manage these operations in such an organized manner. It was initiated on a handshake deal with a brief meeting whats hows and do's and that was it. A lot of information was painstakingly acquired by a resourceful fan's meeting, contacting and/or purchasing anything whenever any opportunity would arise.

It was only by past Kenner employees and authorized manufactures such as Palitoy, Poch, PBP, Lili Ledy and others who could/ would share their experiences and everything would be documented.Other discoveries might arise from someone collecting many duplicate items only to discover similarities and differences and establish flaws or intentional additions to items All giving an insight as to an items rarity or common place in the market.

This being said, You can begin to see and understand that it is not only a physical item that has value. The information and resources to the information included by people and publications has an extreme level of value and importance as well. To have earned the trust and making contact with this community of specialists and their library of knowledge is a real privilege and one not to be taken for granted. As this group is very loyal and have a mutual respect for each others dedication and passion.

To gain their respect and be accepted by the group is a benefit to all those able to share in their community. I humbly consider my self an experienced novice in the awesome world of Star Wars Collecting. I have established a good working relationship with some of the most experienced and knowledgeable Star Wars aficionados located in various countries throughout the world. I myself have amassed an extensive library of facts and history all which lends to an items prominence adding substantial value to an item. I believe I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and I have cataloged a great deal of important evidence to validate/verify many claims/questions asked by any collector. The years that I have spent/invested in the developing my network of specialists has been of tremendous value.

I am excited about the block chain platform and its potential. I like the many benefits the block chain offers. Steemit is an innovative site using the concept. I have given much thought to documenting and archiving a lot of my Star Wars library of information and material. I am confident that Steemit and the block chain will be the best solution to build up this valuable resource for many to access in the years to come. I will share my thoughts with others in the Star wars community that have or are involved in the same process. Hopefully I will be able to influence everyone to use Steemit and the block chain as a more secure and stable medium for building the ultimate Star Wars Archive.

Leaving a valuable source of information and historical accuracy for future generations. This project will take a long time to complete. The truth of the matter, I would say is A project like this will never reach fully completion, as there is entirely to much information available.

There is newly revealed or rediscovered information surfacing all the time. But what is known and acquired up to now can and should be cataloged to maintain an accurate library.

As an introduction to this project to the Steemit community as well as other areas of the internet. I will be delivering an epic Star Wars Sweepstakes. In which the potential to win A highly prized set of original vintage first 12 action figures each figure is complete, as well as each figure is in good/very good condition along with an original vintage carrying case. I will begin with a posting of an individual figure give away in a weekly contest. The post will provide an historical account and a "bio" describing that particular figure. Now here is the key element to this being the ultimate sweepstakes. A winner will be chosen from each individual post. However the winner may choose to take the single figure and be done or they may choose to ante it up placing it in for a final drawing between only the 12 winners to win all or nothing along with the carrying case.
