Сheating on Steemit - the thoughts of a newbie
I've never heard of Steemit, until my friend told me about it 3 weeks ago. I registered and began to explore this new to me social platform. At first I thought, that Steemit is a social network. But after a while I realize, that this is a business for many. In business, many are not playing fair, especially when it comes to large money. After I read the post by @dobartim, I thought, I wonder how people cheat on Steemit. I can be deceived, and I don't want to. I want to tell you about the example of cheating on Steemit, which I told my friend.
Somebody offers you resteem with account of the whale. Even I know, that the whale will make resteem your post - it is a firework. So many people try to use this opportunity to earn. To avoid becoming a victim of cheating - at least make sure, that you really communicate with the owner of the account! If you were the victim of a dishonest user behavior or deception on their part, do not hesitate to report it to the community.
But you know what the main deception for me? I believe, that we need to vote for posts, that we really like and deserve attention. But what do I see? There are mini-groups of people, who vote only for members of their group. They vote and then get them back. It is a vicious circle. Sometimes I think, that this is one person, who have multiple accounts.
I urge you and myself to be vigilant. And most importantly - vote honestly. Because Steemit is not only money. It is a platform, where people share their experiences, knowledge, emotions, beauty, smiles. Give these people a chance. Vote soul.
Thanks for reading!
And Yes, I am a real person. Thank you @dobartim for your contribution and for being pushed to writing this post!

Well, most of us felt like like this when we first and still do. But Steemit is like free community with no much strict rules except the 'right or wrong' rules created by whales and enforced by flagging someone that is not their own or users that threatening their invincibility. Though I have never be a victim of this but I do read about it.
One key to surviving all these is to do what makes you sleep better at night (that is satisfy your conscience), don't enter into confrontation that can make them flag you out of existence and go about your steeming peacefully.
I agree with you. I think, I need to do a little work and get pleasure from this)
Toller Beitrag!
Danke schön)
From the bottom of my heart I thank you @naditinkoff for what you just published.
I have the same feeling as you and @dobartim.
I entered this network of principle out of curiosity and the truth was not for money and it really is not the money that motivates me at all.
I realized that I find people who have my same hobbies, I like to learn and share what I like.
And I've always wondered why people whose content is so poor have many votes and I tell you something and everything I write here from my photos as well as my cooking recipes as well as my advice are original and when I see they just have votes or the few votes come from people who similarly feel that I give them an honest comment.
It is a pity that there is so much dishonesty
Thank you and have a nice Sunday
Thanks for the comment! Let's continue to do what we do! We will also have our regular followers! Good luck on your journey!
You raise a lot of very important points. I agree that people should only be liking, voting, commenting on things they like. It helps to make Steemit more authentic. I've only been here a week and I've seen things that you mention. I also think there are Steemit accounts that swoop in anytime they see a newbie on the platform, promising to help or taking actions that I really just don't get. (like, the first post I ever wrote, some bot with a -1 reputation score came and downvoted my post -- why would that possibly happen?) Some of these accounts have "steem" in the user name, and so you might assume that they are somehow official (if that makes sense, given that Steemit is a self-policing platform). Anyway, thanks for sharing your voice and for the rainbow!
Thank you! It's sad, that at the beginning of your way to Steemit this situation has occurred. Not upset! Keep working and everything will come!
I think I am no longer totally new, because I started some month ago, but I often feel very similar... Sadly most things seem to become a capitalistic shark tank, although the idea behind steemit was perhaps a different one. Nevertheless I hope to see more of you (and hope you do not get frustrated)
