Steemit/steem fraud!!! I got robbed!!! :(
From what I can tell this info is indeed correct. I'm probably missing out on between 5-25 steem power because of this and I'd estimate about 50-75% of my votes were actually worthless. :( Feel free to comment and resteem this. As a protest I tried to vote for myself as a witness but was unsuccessful. I've probably upvoted about 8,000 times or more and about 4,000 or more of those upvotes were probably completely worthless. :(
I am thankful that Tim happened to share this info. I very strongly disagree that we should raise the limits and make more votes worthless and stop more people from earning rewards. I think we should lower the limit at least down to a penny if not more.

This information is false.
I received a payout of 0.013 SBD just earlier today.
Since all wallets are open to audit, feel free to check it out for yourself.

.013 + .013 is > than .02. If you had a payment of .009 sbd than that would prove this info is false. Your rewards are 50% steem power and 50% sbd except on a blog post if you go 100% steem power.

I am still convinced that my information is correct. I can provide further evidence as well and the information I linked to is from a steemit witness who actually helps run steemit.
Ok. lets say you are correct because I did not account for the 50/50 split.
The issue is people default to that. So you are still spreading FUD because they will make the same mistake as me.
You should think through how your information will be received. WE are trying to grow the platform we don't need this type of back and forth..

There is no option on comments and I'm pretty sure if you go with the less rewards/(100% steem power) the cutoff is still in place.
When you are trying to grow a platform I think it helps to know how the platform works.

^ this is correct. It is based on the total payout that is shown for the "potential payout", which the SBD portion only accounts for 50% of.
