Steemit clones are already popping up. Why this is great for Steemit.

Today I saw the first Steemit.com clone, it crashed on launch though. It's based on Ethereum but clearly a copy of the Steemit model. People know Steemit is the next big thing and are trying to cash in. This is very encouraging for Steemit. The site is here: http://ethereal.cloud/

    There are a number of similar sites in the works, some launched even before Steemit, others not yet started: https://steemit.com/social-media/@cryptos/other-blockchain-powered-social-media-like-steemit-com

    A clone would be a website using the source code of Steemit.com now that the project is open source and the code is publicly available, and not a website that is built around a similar idea...

      How did you find this clone mynewsteemit?

      Steemit sure enjoys the benefits of being a first mover. The market is still open for competition, however, so I hope we will not get lazy pumping out new developments for our great platform.
