Steemit FAQ; The complicated part in promoting steemit
Promoting steemit is playing a pivotal role in getting this platform form to beat other social networks in this competitive market. I appreciate the users that have voluntarily taken up this role whose impact is evident with the record number of sign ups in these past few weeks. This activity comes with it's own challenges though most of which are associated with the interaction with new people as we create awareness of steemit. People always have lots of questions they put forward in pursuit of more knowledge on the platform.
The most frequent questions I come across are;
-Where does the money that is paid out come from?
-How does steemit benefit in rewarding people?
-How do I withdraw the money?
The last question is always the easiest to answer as I always explain the importance of having set up a bitcoin wallet on a bitcoin exchange like blocktrades which you transfer your steem dollars to and then after sell the steem dollars in the market to get bitcoin. The bitcoins are then transferred to bitpesa the exchange we use here in Uganda to convert digital currencies to local currencies.
The two questions; Where does the money come from and how steemit benefits in rewarding people are complicated especially when you meet a person that completely has no idea about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. But this is how I lay it;
Currency is undergoing a transition where societies will go cashless thus using digital currencies in every part of transaction. And these digital currencies vary in prices which gets high when the value increases and which get low when the value reduces.
These digital assets rise in value when more people use them and for the case of steemit, steem as a digital asset increases value as more people use it and contribute to steemit. These people who contribute to the ecosystem in terms of posting, commenting and blogging are paid in steem dollars which is more of a loan on steem collateral.
This is as far as I can go about these questions. And I call upon anyone with a clearer explanation to leave an opinion in the comment section below. We need a simple explanation that will always be available in cases where we encounter these much frequently asked questions.
This is quite interesting
