So if you're new here...than you've probably seen this image already...which can be quite frustrating for newcomers...So let's discuss it in today's session...😃😃

Due to the recent changes in Hardfork20, where they decided to replace one of the parameters named 'Bandwidth' with a new one called 'Resource Credits'/RC. Earlier, Bandwidth was required for performing every action on the blockchain which includes voting, posting, commenting , powering down etc. But it was not good enough as this system allowed people to spam the system to oblivion.

So in order to make the system eligible, they ended up changing the network’s resource allocation model, which you know as 'Resource credits'. What it does is that it properly distribute the system resources to the network's participants based on their Steem Power. Meaning the more Steem Power you have, the more resources you'll get. And having less power will mean the other way...

But it's surely is a problem for new members as they start with only a little amount of Steem Power. So my opinion for you newcomers is that use your resources wisely by posting, commenting or upvoting only those who you think deserve it...And try to gradually build your reputation in the community by interacting with others & by posting good contents..

On the otherhand, the Steemit community compared voting power with 'energy bar'. Meaning every time you vote you will use a small amount of your voting power..You'll discover some other aspects of voting power with passing time...I won't discuss further things here as you can easily learn more about voting power in the FAQ in your settings...

Remember that the RC & Voting Power regenerates with passing time, so if you're out of credits you can just wait it out...You can also buy more steem power if you want

I'm not gonna discuss how you can calculate it as there's much easier way to know them. To see what credits you have left in your account, you simply have to go the link given below & enter your username in the marked part of the image( image given below)...And voila, you'll find everything you want...It's as simple as that...Hope it helped you...
