My Main Account: @kph

I have busy convincing and recruiting my friends onto this platform in the last few weeks, although the community is great here its also great to share experiences and help your friends that you see day to day. The best thing about all my friends is that they all produce different content and can help build the community in different ways. One is already thinking about developing a bot and system for our new discord and automating our curation trail, another is producing some great digital art on Photoshop. I also have another friend that is producing some less serious and funny content which is equally important.

The challenges

The main challenge was just convincing them to get onto Steemit, they all though I was just some Crypto enthusiast and didn't really understand cryptocurrency as a whole, so explaining the benefits of a social media based Crypto currency was hard, however once I got my first friend on it caused a ripple effect and they all saw it wasn't just me being a maniac.

I also realized I had to support them, because I knew most of them wouldn't have the patience making no money at all from posts they work hard at, and although most Steemit users have to start of with that I decided to give them a helping hand. I set up a curation trail and got them all to join it, I then set up all the people in the curation trail to be automatically upvoted rewarding everyone with @kph. This is greatly helping them, and to a lesser extent me. I'm also recruiting others for this curation trail and have already gotten quite a few.

Plus I've even had to delegate some of my own Steem due to them having RC problems due to upvoting quite a lot being in the curation trail. I've also been resteeming their posts to get them even more coverage.

The Future

Once they understand the basic mechanics I know they will be off growing their own fanbase and increasing the quality of the content. As well as some developing brilliant things for Steem! I love seeing my friends express themselves in a way which is purer and more natural than mainstream social media because of the mainstream attitude and content they must post in order to be more accepted.

And I will get rewarded for my hard work because as their accounts grow so will their upvotes and so will the amount I receive on my posts, this may seem selfish but I take this as a positive and to all the people out there that has friends this is a great reason to get them involved. Let's get as many people onto Steemit as possible and let it grow!
