Steemit is a great community no doubt.I like it too much.I can not do a single day without it.But I faced some lack of features.But we must agree that it is more friendly than Facebook .I have been usingSteemit for 4 months.
Pros:
1.This the only social network site which gives money for writing and upvoting.No one will give you free.
2.It already has 200k+ members with 2000+ members joining everyday.
3.It has created a revolution in social networking.
4.I like Steemit too much because I can use HTML for beautifying my post.
5.Post Quality:Steemit users want it.
6.Site is easy to navigate.
7.Steemit is Ad-free.
8.Code is fully opensource,Decentralized.
9.You own the data. And better privacy and ads free.
10.NSFW(Not Safe For Work):I liked it too much.Because I can't use other Social Media for porn Post.But I can use
Steemit without any worry.
Cons:
1.This site is still under construction.I mean it is in Beta phase now.
2.It can take upto 7 days to open an account.
3.The Notification System is not as good as Facebook.It should be improved.
4.We can't use some html tags.
5.There is no private messaging system here.We need to use
Steemit Chat
to chat with other privately.
7.Lot of features missing. (likes, chats, pages, > groups etc). Current app as mere discussion > forum
8.Money reward alone not a great idea to keep the users engaged.
9.There is no Referal System.
This is my private opinion.I liked some features and listed in Pros.And it I don't like I listed in Cons.We must admit that Steemit is beta.So we have to sacrifice.I wish it will improve fast and will become the number one Social Networking site in the world.
