Old Rules Cleared Away: No More Penalties For Posting More Than 4 Times A Day With Hard Fork 17
I remember the good old days when @charlieshrem was a Steemit God, Steem was $24 and folks were pounced on for posting more than 4 times a days on Steemit.
Now with hard fork 17 coming down the tracks the last of above will now no longer apply. In fact yesterday I posted eight times, and today this is my ninth post - why not try to break out of the box from time to time!
The whales are also to be congratulated with colluding to not down-vote and allow the Steemit minnows and dolphins to develop their own internal market. This can only be a good thing, but further discussions amongst whales shall be required.
I'm also wondering how the reputations system will work in the future?
Many surfed to sky-high reputations on the back of whale votes and now sit lazily on reputations of 70+ whilst the rest of us must now work hard to increase our reputation using dolphin power only. This is a tough gig for many - including myself.
Over the next few weeks, it'll be interesting to see what happens to the Steem price on the exchanges (volume wise) as the whales now tune out for a bit.
At the end of the day only dolphin power can bring this platform forward. We must engage that new killer audience sooner rather than later if we are to truly prosper in 2017.
Godspeed that Steem price to rise!
@mindhunter - an old Steemer!
When does this happen? I noticed the price increased today.

We need to invite way more active users for Steemit to thrive.
Excellent imagery there @darkflame ! I will check out your link :)
Yeah ! Don't you enjoy that Beta stage ! I am spinning since June haha ! 💫
Oh yes! One year seems like ten on Steemit!
I am aging ! Oh noooo ! Help ! 😂
At least I don't need to update my avatar :))
Don't ever let blond cute Australians go hahha ! Just saw one of your zillion of posts
Cutest blondes = Australians / Cutest brunettes = Polish :))
@zillionposthunter !
I am looking forward to the 7-day payout period, but not removing the 4 post/day limit. I'm hoping the 7-day payout period will help us weave ideas together across posts and encourage more comments across them. There should be some more interesting games, too. But I'm thinking the unlimited posts per day will fill Steemit with cellphone snapshots, hourly "advertisements" for specific posts, or simply random internet and YouTube links. From bots and not bots. I will be happy to be wrong, but sure hope the limit can be restarted if we are awash in low-end content. Even if that content doesn't get rewarded, it will simply wash out our ability to discover new quality content. It's an interesting experiment, for sure!
I share your views on the last point. I think a tipping point in both content and Steem price is coming sometime in 2017. The results should be very interesting!
