Who Else Should I Follow? Looking for 100 Good Accounts, HELP!

in #steemit6 years ago

From my business to personal relationships, one thing I strongly believe in is always finding ways to provide value to others. On Steemit, it's VERY easy to provide value to others (upvoting, following, resteeming), which helps some give freely, and helps others to take more for themselves.

I never want to be in the category of helping myself more than others -- that's just not something I'm comfortable with. Well, while looking at the homepage for my Steemit blog, I saw something I didn't like.

I have 572 wonderful, loyal, amazing people and projects following my page, and I'm only following 296. There's something that doesn't sit right about this. Now I don't want to follow every account on Steemit because I carefully monitor my feed for great content that I can upvote and resteem, but I also don't want to miss great content just because I'm not following the right people.

I Need Your Help

I want to follow at least 400 accounts, adding over 100 more to my "following list," by the end of this week and I need your help. Here are topics I'm interested in:

  • Writing
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Cryptocurrency
  • Inspiration/Self-Help
  • Sports
  • Poker
  • Contests
  • Steemit Tips and Information

In the comment section, please help me out with accounts you think I should be following, even if that's just you. Thanks in advance for your help, I will try to repay the favor as well.

By the way, if you aren't on Presearch yet, please consider checking it out. This is my favorite project and it has a lot of potential. Earn coins for searching and support a decentralized search engine! Referral link below gives you 25 coins. 25 Bonus coin offer ends 5/31.

I was following too many people at one point in my almost two years on steemit. I trimmed the fat and got rid of most of them. I have slowly started following more, but I am more selective than I used to be. I personally follow a lot of journalist that fall outside of the corporate news. You might enjoy the following: @caitlinjohnstone, @claireconnelly, @careywedler, @eleanorgoldfield, @sallylloyd, @suzi3d, @taliakerch, @catherinebleish, @elizbethleavos and @dbroze.

Awesome, thanks @celsius100! I want to find a good balance. Going to check them out!

Hey Hoodish, you can follow me for various types of articles. Recently I'm into a lot of contests and my blog page is full of resteems of contests. That's a minus but since you are interested in contests that becomes plus.
You can follow @getonthetrain for some great personal finance tips.
@bunnypuncher for a varied list of contests.
@angelinafx for Steem price prediction contests.
@ceepee for comment chain contest.
@firepower for Steemit.chat based contests.
@nicnas and @bethalea are my favorites which I'm sure you are already following.
I'll add more if I can recollect any.

Thank you! I am not following most of then (of course NicNas and Bethalea, but they deserve the extra mentions in any post :-)). Going to check them out. Thanks!

Wow, getonthetrain is awesome. Checking out the others too thanks.

Glad you liked his posts. I'm a fan of his writings.
