It's still very, very early in the game. But yes, everything you have pointed out I have to agree with you 100% because it's verifiable, very much so.

However, lets go down memory lane for a second or two. Let's talk nerd talk for a minute.

Linux, did it succeed?

Some say no, of course not. The whole revolution of an open source system was a fad, intellectual pornography if you will for the geekiest among us. Who today uses linux, who?

Surprisingly, its actually the #1 operating system in the world, but almost nobody knows it is, almost Nobody.

For all I know you read this comment of mine on an android phone, guess what operating system it is? Yes, that is right linux. But, who knew? Its so easy to use, so simple, you did not have to compile a Kernel to dial your friend.

The new thermostats are also pretty awesome, I think the way they can be programmed depending on times of the day and seasons make them super convenient. Guess what operating system they are using? Yes, that's right Linux... But all you have to do is press two button.

My point is, that open source took over, linux took over ten fold above microsoft, above mac, and nobody knows. That is how mass adoption looks.

Steemit was never meant to take over facebook, Steemit is the equivalent of us nerds (im one of them) taking apart our 486 SX computers installing a insufferable version of an ugly operating system that refuses to obey, but its free, and everyone can help make it better.

On that note, this website is running on a linux server, and I'm using a linux computer.
