EVENING UPDATE STEEM DAILY DATA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8/15/2016

STEEM not invested in SteemPower skyrocketed today. Read more to find out one possible reason.

Study closely the spreadsheet and charts below. I will try to update 6 days a week.

Glossary of Spreadsheet Terminology:

Current_Supply = ...Current supply of STEEM

Total_Vesting_Fund_ Steem =... Total STEEM invested in SteemPower

Total_Vesting_Fund_ STEEM AS % of CURRENT SUPPLY =... Total STEEM invested in SteemPower as a % of total steem

Column C-D STEEM NOT INVESTED IN STEEM POWER =... Total number of steem not invested in SteemPower

NUMBER of STEEM not invested in SteemPower daily increase or decrease =... The daily increase or daily decrease of steem not invested in SteemPower

STEEM PRICE BTC - STEEM =... Price of steem to btc on Bittrex

STEEM PRICE $$$$ - STEEM = Price of steem in $ dollars on Bittrex

SBD PRICE $$$$ - SBD = Price of sbd in $ dollars on Bittrex

The total number of STEEM not invested in SteemPower skyrocketed today from 4,548,573 yesterday to 5,251,385 . That's an increase of 702,812 STEEM not invested in SteemPower .

It is interesting to note that as the total number of STEEM not invested in SteemPower increases. The price continues to fall . Also note that tonight the total number of STEEM not invested in SteemPower has increased the most on a daily basis since I have been keeping data on this.

I do know that Poloniex was not able to transfer my STEEM to STEEMIT today, but I don't know about Bittrex .

The problem may have been with STEEMIT.

If the problem was Universal, then that may be why the number increased so dramatically today.

People were not able to transfer STEEM to STEEMIT to Power Up their SteemPower.

In the chart below you can see the STEEM price as the red line and the total number of STEEM not invested in SteemPower as the blue column.

    The main reason for the increase in STEEM not powered up was a huge power down (687K STEEM) by the steemit account (see activity history below).

    These are coins which Steemit (the company) has indicated are to be used to fund new accounts (currently 3 STEEM per account is being given away by Steemit) and sold to fund development.

        very informative. the price of STEEM seems to bother most people especially those who put in some cash when it was around $2.5. and if I am most people, I will not invest in SP seeing the price drops down. and if I want to bail out ASAP, that's hard to do when your resources are in SP. Thanks for this info. you have 1 more Follower ;-)

        Thanks for your input ,the hope for steem price to increase is that more steem is being invested into steempower than is being created on a daily basis.

          Interesting so only 3% of the STEEM is in circulation the rest is tied to Steem Power and Steem Dollar?
          (SD is in circulation but its a different currency technically)

          @profitgenerator As I see it the amount of the steem supply locked up in steempower is 95.98% .You are close with your approximation of 3% . The actual figure is 4.02% of the STEEM is in circulation the rest is locked up in Steem Power. And I agree SD is a currency that does not affect the price of steem.

            Yes sorry, 4.02. We have a pretty interesting monetary system here. Steem Power obviously limits inflation with the 1% withdrawal / week (and not all people power down).

            Steem Dollar is what interests me, I need to research it more how it works.

              Thank you I think that as new members start to invest we will see the price of steem increase . But as you can see from the charts some numbers need to change.

                The good news is that STEEM didn't drop by all that much even though the amount not invested into Steem Power shot up. STEEM's decline seems to be softened by new buying power.

                as always @nxtbld your input is appreciated , I hope that the number of steem not invested in steempower was because of a transfer problem .WE will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow with the numbers.

                I was buying STEEM to power up on Poloniex and my withdrawal has been stuck in limbo as pending for the last 6-7 hrs - I've put in a support ticket. I'm wondering if it is related to the hard fork. Maybe others were intending to do the same and got their STEEM stuck in the same situation. I'm sure it will get resolved though.

                HELLO @cryptofiend my steem was also stuck at poloniex this afternoon for 5 hours and I finally got on the troll box and explained to the moderator and had him cancel the transfer and the steem is now back in my account at Poloniex .I wondered if it was related to the hard fork as well .
