CHEERS TO 600 FOLLOWERS

I signed up for Steemit last year 2017 September. It happened by luck. Can recall whenever I was researching on cryptocurrency mining, I would always find myself reading cryptomining articles from this site. I always had this mindset that Steemit was just like any other site. I absolutely had no idea that it was a decentralized platform with a reward system for its users. I didn't know that someone could actually get paid in STEEM to give an opinion. There was this certain day I was doing my usual cryptomining research when I again found myself on this site. After reading the article and the comments, I checked and saw some button written " sign up and get free steem". "Steem?? What is this steem?" I asked myself. I got curious and decided to sign up. As usual, i was told that i was among the first few early steemians. I had to wait for 3 days for my account to be approved. Finally it got approved and i was able to log in.I can remember I posted a few stuff during the first few days and suddenly stopped posting due to some emotional issues I was going through.My girlfriend left me and it totally tore my life apart. I lost focus and motivation towards a lot of things including social media. Nothing was making sense to me anymore. I know it's lame but that is how much I loved her. My steemit account stayed inactive for about 4 months.
Late December, I decided to log into to my account. I had less than 200 followers, my reputation was at 35 and I had 1 Steem Power.
I decided to put more effort in improving my account status and since then I have seen my efforts bear fruits in less than 2 months.
All these wouldn't be possible without you fellow Steemians. I am where I am because of you. You are the ones who keep me motivated on this platform. Thanks for believing in me and my work. Cheers!! :)
