Steemit is not only a virtual thing, no in several cases it already took shape in real life too.

Here in my city, Niigata my friend @kafkanarchy84 had the glorious idea to bring fellow Steemians together in our own real-life community. On the Steem blockchain we are now represented with our own account @steemcityniigata.

The introduction post which found quite a huge echo can be read here.

Our main objective is to connect Steemians, who live in Niigata and around, and link them up and provide a platform for some daily-life interaction too.

Some of us here already know each other from before, and we all share the interest in this platform and the topics cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

For supporting each other and as a network we are now able to use this group account, where we are able to communicate and to inform our members and everybody else.

Our aim is it to create some kind of a free market, were we can offer our own services and market ourselves. Members will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and offer and share their skills. Not only online also in “reality”.

We are also open for investors, some of us have already put some of our own Steempower into this new group account.
Now we can write and post our own articles under the group name, but also upvote and resteem other articles to promote them and to create more attention.

Post rewards will be paid out weekly or monthly, according to the user’s share in the total account vest.

The whole project hasn’t yet left it’s childhood behind but we are pretty optimistic and hope for a slow and steady grow.

And as I said, we don’t only want to be an online project, so today we finally met up in person altogether.

The restaurant Worlbuffet was the perfect place on that rainy and chilly day, to gather for a rich and warming lunch buffet and to refresh old contacts and make new ones.

At this first meeting the topics crypto and Steemit didn’t have our priority yet. Our lively kids reminded us that there are other and maybe more important things than the blockchain, but it was the right start signal for our community project and to find together and to link up. Every community needs to grow and find it's own way, we are ready now to walk this road together.

I was great to share some laughter and some quality time, knowing I'm not alone is very pleasant feeling.

And the next big thing is already planned, at that time we might get down to the real business. Let us have our heads spinning about all that crypto stuff that is moving the world now. All of us are ready to use our skills and power for some projects, which can help us grow and move up to the next levels.
