The problem of the steem price
Isn't it strange that steemit with its great potential and raising members has (at least) one big problem. To my mind this is the reason why the steem price is no higher.
Anyway it is strange that SBD is so much worthier than Steem which is converted in Steem Power an investment which has great potential to increase the fortune.
The problem of the Steem price is directly connected or better correlated with the height of SBD. It is speculation!
There is no reason why the SBD is so high except that! The Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum are rising so fast that it is just a bad idea to keep money in Steem, Steem Power or SBD. It is also due to speculation that the SBD is far too high.
This problem affects steemit because people do not like to invest in Steem and Steem Power and so the mighty upvotes always remains on the whales. You can get 100 upvotes for 34 cents or 1 Upvote for 100 $.
This problem can be issued by many people investing with small amounts of money as I have just to have some impact by voting.
But not many people are investing in Steem because they are making so much money through investing in only speculative currencies.
To limit this speculation it could be also useful to rethink the SBD-concept as I did here:

Right now with the parabolic growth of the biggest 10 cryptos sadly nobody cares right now for Steem. But its time will also come. I am sure!

It’s hard to see Steem not getting love from the crypto community. Hopefully with SMTs etc we’ll get some higher prices.

I think SBD shouldn't have been traded on the market like Steem. It should have stayed in the Steem ecosystem.
Agree with you there, but unfortunately you can't put the genuine back in the bottle. Let's hope it all settles back down and steemit continues to grow like it was planned and not expand so rapidly that the bubble pops.
I am just a newbie but I power up every chance I get. Steem Power is the long term crypto investment I was looking for. I also take curation very seriously and want more voting power in the hope I can actually make Steemit a better site and investment for all. Thanks for the info.
Yeah, it was a shock when it shot up to 10 dollars. Hope it gets back down to the $1 mark like it should be at.
