He is the youngest member of the Mensa Society where he joined Mata 4 years of age. Maa began to show her telecentre at the age of 4 months. To enter Mensa, he had to take the "standardized IQ test of Mensa" test, where he scored 99.99. At the age of 5, she received an invitation from the Stanford University for Education Program for Gifted Youth on five levels (kindergarden to 5th grade) and she completed this course in Maa 6 months. Maa finished her high school and college at the age of six years, and also re-average 4 grades. She is also the youngest member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and her articles regularly publish on NASA's Lunar Science website.
