RE: FVL Reduced to 625 in preparation for next week's big upgrade!
Is it all done by SP now? because I can see a low shadowrank user who now has a high pool priority due to having near 10k SP, problem is they have delegated all of it to another account - so contribute nothing and will be effectively draining the reward pool without giving anything back.
This seems massively unfair.
Delegated SP still does count on blockchain toward their casted up vote strength, but to your point going forward delegated SP will only be worth 50% toward Shadow Rank boosts vs organic vested Steem Power. IE if you "rent" 10,000 SP it will only give you 0.5 Shadow Rank boost for every 1 Shadow Rank Boost that person would receive owning and actually vesting (Powering Up) that 10,000 SP!
It is not all done by SP, our algorithm is very simple and outlined in this post: https://steemit.com/steemit/@shadowbot/voting-allocations-have-been-upgraded-critical-update
Sorry i might be using the wrong steemit terminology, What I mean is I can see a user who owns nearly 10000 organic steem power, they have delegated 9900 of it to another account so they now have a effective vote power of 100, yet are ranked on shadowbot as having 10000 still and have a very high pool priority but will be contributing next to nothing.
(these are not the exact numbers but it gets my point across)
Oh now that would be a bug on our end and not part of our design. If a user owns 10,000 SP and is delegating 9,900 of it (having 100 left un-delegated) they should reflect as 100 not 10,000. Please provide us with the user(s) you see so we can include this in our critical bugs if it is in fact happening. Thank you so much!
Welcome shadowbot
Our team will look into this and decide the best course of action. We have no official statement to make other than thank you for the input right now!
