Reddit has historically banned communities that the government and mainstream media has seen as troublesome, the 'pizzagate' community got shut down as well.
Reddit relies on advertisements and that as many as possible like to use the platform, therefor they will always book fringe groups off the platform that "normies" doesnt want to associate themselves with.
