The location is Bravo Bar at Torstr. 230 in Mitte. The venue will be exclusively all on steem that night.
Recap of the first Meetup
On a rainy February night, the first Steem Berlin Meetup took place at Bravo Bar. Out of 48 members of the Meetup group, 14 RSVPed. Eventually, 11 people actually showed up.
Interestingly around half of the attendees hadn't even signed up on steemit.com. They were bitcoiners, blockchain developers and researchers keen to talk to Steamians and to learn more about the platform.
The first guest was @daniel.errey, who I had met first at SteemFest in Amsterdam. Daniel arrived eight o'clock on the dot although he has been informed on very short notice thanks to his old friend @dan-atstarlite who texted him out of Toronto!
The evening kicked off with a short documentary preview of SteemFest Amsterdam and faded into many interesting conversations about steemit and crypto in general.
@yoganarchista and @sature where the last steemians standing and just around midnight we called it a day.
A big thank you to @massmann, the owner of the Bravo Bar, who gave everyone the first drink on the house!
Vision
Hopefully we can gather more and more of the Berlin Steemians together and once in a month Bravo Bar will be packed with Steemians on a Tuesday night. Everyone will be able to pay their drinks with Steem or any other digital currency that is supported by the @bitshares-munich Blockpay Platform. We will elaborate on the format and eventually offer short slots for lightning talks, video presentations or art performances. Possibly even steemit's own product manager @sneak will spin some records at the Bravo. Everbody dance!
