Minds.com - What I've Learned 10 Days InsteemCreated with Sketch.

I haven't found a ton of solid info comparing Steemit to Minds.com (which may be on me), so I figured I would list a few observations I've made on the topic.

Currently, I still prefer Steemit, and it looks to remain that way for a while. If anyone knows of any other crypto-based social platforms, especially ones that reward in tradable tokens or coins, please feel free to share in the comments.

  1. The biggest bummer of Minds is you cannot (currently) exchange reward tokens on crypto exchanges.

  2. Minds feels almost similar to a Twitter layout, while Steemit feels more like a Tumblr or WordPress layout, though both Minds and Steemit are more than that.

  3. Minds has a very smooth way to promote posts, which seems more legit than the "Steemit pay a whale to get you likes" system which has come to be the most surprising part of Steemit probably, unless I am still ignorant to something on this. It's always awkward to see a post with 5 likes and $28 in earnings, but maybe I need to grow up to the way it is.

  4. DTube seems to be a better and more solid platform than Minds video upload system, which is rolled into the social media.

  5. Minds users earn from their daily interaction on the site. A user's daily "points" are divided by the entire system's daily points and you are rewarded based on your percentage. Likes, comments, followers, re-minds, and even just checking your account gets you points.

  6. Currently Minds seems a little more "free speech" focused, which is great in a sense, if you look at the absurdity of FaC(IA)ebook and TwitterMess, but in the early days it attracts a lot of harsh social posts. This will probably settle down.

  7. Small final note: Minds in now on Ethereum, while Steemit is obviously on Steem.

If you have any other notes, pro's, con's, or thoughts, feel free to share.

Be well.

Nice review. I don't personally have much faith on Minds due to mostly tech related reasons. Narrative is actually a relatively better alternative: https://steemit.com/analysis/@vimukthi/what-if-facebook-and-reddit-had-a-decentralized-censorship-resistant-baby-reading-the-narrative-nerv-whitepaper

You will also find @dlive to be better than DTube

Thanks. Interesting. Appreciate the heads up.
