RE: Daily Steem Price Update 15/8/2025
I don't recall a doctor calling myself, or a friend, or a relative, so ours don't call at all... Probably if it is some rare condition and you have a friend doctor, they may call, eventually. I don't know though...
With the 112 I have rather positive experience here. The last two times I called myself was due to a local fire, that I started putting off myself and about a fifteen minutes later the firefighter came and the previous time was a friend who is a diabetic and fainted due to low sugar levels, the ambulance came for about twenty minutes and helped him, both the nurse and the doctor were being nice to him and to us too. This was in the capital though, depending on where one lives it could be totally a different experience. Unfortunately, quite an aggressive behavior from some of the minorities towards the paramedics lately here...
The reference letters, it's a semi-electronic story. Still a mystery to me, heheh.
About a couple of years ago the government paid for a mobile app where one could access everything that is in their medical portfolio/profile. However, in order to be "unlocked" I have to visit an office of the national medical services and acquire a code. So, still not entirely electronic :)
One brutal thing - the medical entity here in English is called "National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) "
The Bulgarian version, though, is "Каса" and the same word is used for those metal vaults where banks keep cash and other valuable assets. It is a good word that remind us all locals that this "organization" is mainly about just taking our money and providing back the minimum. If anything at all.
Thank you, same!
A real relief to see that imaging problem resolved! :)
