5000 Followers, 666 Following - Without Steem(it), I Wouldn't Be A Paid Writer + Blog Review In MS Paint
I don't typically do milestone posts. In fact, aside from my first power-up of all my liquid crypto, I never have. However, the numbers on this were simply too round to resist.
Thank you to all my readers and voters, especially my auto-voters, who have kept me going during the lean times. Every time I take a break from writing, I get an outpouring of support. The kind of praise I get via direct message might make one blush. I've never been "paid" to write before, and though it takes a lot of work (and some capital) to be successful, it's certainly possible.
It's a testament to Steemit (and Steem) that such a thing is possible, because I'd always dismissed being a content creator on other platforms due to likely censorship (which has aggressively metastasized on Youtube) and very poor monetizations prospects, generally speaking. The idea of funding my own website/blog via advertising (or a paywall, lol) was simply ludicrous. If it wasn't for the Steem protocol, my blog wouldn't exist, so after I think my readers, voters, and the groups I always plug (like MSP, SPL), I guess Steem is also due for thanks.
In the spirit of @InquiringTimes recent post about my blog, I'm going to photo-dump some of my favorite MS-paint-shops from (the first 6 weeks of) my blog. Consider it a "(early) blog in review" in images.
That was only one folder of about 15 of archived images, and I tried to avoid those I simply took from the internet save for a couple. I'll probably do a few more of these, unless nobody looks at them! I have lots of more-recent content with which to rip off Aggroed's "meme the news" style.

Jerry's arrival here had much fanfare (and detractors). It was the hot topic of the time, and I believe he remains the most followed person on the platform.
In short, everyone was talking about it.

Yes, he was a somewhat controversial figure. It's been overshadowed by the new controversial figures like Haejin, however.

btw I delegated banfield 20SP because of his claim of 60% APR and I it is like raining tiny amounts of sbd in my account every day.
the steep power coupon with the 1/13 of something in 3 weeks is really funny. the segwit trojan horse also pretty good.
why should I hate banfield though besides his 'pay me 10 sbd and ill be your friend' like it's some multi level marketing thing?
i showed my brother i earned $.50 i made from my first steemit post in september, now I have 3700 BTS in diversified holdings on bitshares and almost 80SP. Most of the 3700 bts came from accounts I later proved to be russian(or something) disinformation accounts and an anon donation.
But still, 3700 bts and 80SP is nothing to scoff about, although I have probably written more words on platform than any other account I have seen outside of the fiction workshops. I wish there was a profile wordcount bot.....how hard could that be to make?
That's quite a nice earning you've got there from scratch.
As for the bots, yes, they are very profitable now to run because using bots to promote your post is almost required to be seen / get any payouts. This post itself may be evidence of this fact.
