Why steemit is the best social network in the world right now.
The miracle of STEEM isn't that someone thought about crossing a social network with a blockchain, it's the way that people adopted it an use it that's the magic sauce.
Once you orient yourself around the environment and start making friends, you'll begin to realise that there is so much more to steem than other networks, there is a subtle difference, on facebook you connect with people you know already, on other networks you get 'viewers', on STEEM you make friends with people all across the world.
Half of this is thanks to the amazing discord communities that have been forged alongside the forging of the blockchain submissions. We have found a way to turn lead into gold, and the gold isn't currency or value, it's actually the bits of real interaction and establishing a worldwide network of friends who actually have the power to have a positive influence in each others lives.
I would like to propose two challenges to all users who read this post:
Challenge 1: go over all the users who've interacted with your posts and try to make friends, visit their pages and introduce yourself, thank them with their support, referring to it, and support them back!
Challenge 2: go over any service that you either love or hate, and try to introduce yourself to the creator, support the creator financially with a vote or even just a comment for some exposure with a resteem.
I submit that you possibly are unaware of how much power you have accumulated with your daily use of the blockchain, you can have a positive influence in other peoples lives across the world, you can make lifelong allies!
In amongst the 'hello dears' are some amazing people on steemit, it only takes for you to reach out and touch their hearts.
Votes aren't that important, Life is short, make some friends, we can all use a little organic relationships on steem, I promise you you'll find it more fruitful than trying to trick some robot into voting for you.

duuuude we need to also make a front end sandbox to allow people to make their own open source steem front ends and choose how much benefifcicray rewards they want or what catgeoyr they wnatthe front end to deal with etc
man so great to think about helping @prc @dsound get a new Pinned Posts using what @heimindanger said we needed which was a IPFS Ui to allow anyone to pin and host a file from their own computer
