Mining Lesson Meetup (How I convined 48 Japanese to join Steemit !)

Mining Lesson Meetup

Japan is all about cryptocurrency right now. Even after the Chinese didn't buy so many bitcoins because of the withdrawal ban of the Chinese Government, Japanese and Korean buyers kept the price of Bitcoin up. I was invited by @minecc to the Mining Lesson Meetup up he had organized and Ken Shishido asked me if I could speak about my mining experiience. I agreed to talk to a group of around 50 Japanese GPU miners and I took the chance after 10 minutes talking about GPU and Asics mining to shift the attention over to Mining via Steemit.com.

There were already 2 Steemit members, but the rest of the class had never heard about Steemit.com. I started explaining about how the system works, and that Writing is the new mining. Everybody was thrilled about the idea of getting paid for their blog (you don't need to buy expensive mining hardware or have the maintenance trouble) so I showed them that a blogger who stays a year on Steemit could earn more than a GPU miner who can only run 15 GPUs in his home's basement.

Luckily I was the last to speak on this event, so once I stopped everybody came to me and started asking detailed questions about Steemit. I left them my Chat name and username and suddenly the Japanese Chat on Steemit chat got crowded 4days ago.

お疲れ様でした。I did the same at the two bitcoin meetups I attended in Tokyo. I'm not sure if they signed up, but I gave them my steemit 名刺. Everyone seemed very interested.

Welcome Everyone!

Will you also be doing a post on your mining experience?

I might do it.

You're doing a good job!
I support you!

@knozaki2015 - Excellent initiative to get all these Japanese miners to convert to Steemit. I have said this before - you make an excellent ambassador for steemit. With your travel and people contact, there is no one better to spread the word from highest echelons of society to the grassroots about Steemit. Well done. A very hearty welcome to all the new Steemit members listed in your blog. Upvoted.

At my end, I have added a Gif blog with an exciting Bathing beauties-Elephant herd tracking and dust bath story. I request you to take a look when you have time and provide your comments. It will be an honor for me. Thanks

Thank you. Your appreciation always makes me feel proud.

Commendation on your great work of referring so many new members!

"Writing is the new mining" - that's it! The new angle pertaining to mining has created a fresh perspective for a lot of people, especially those who are not proficient enough to handle the nitty gritties of traditional mining, as followed in the last few years.

The "get paid for blogging" mantra has been around for some time but I guess it looked very complicated with CMSes, hosting issues and a plethora of plugins or extensions to choose from - most people got really confused and stayed away from blogging.

Blogging and mining without the headache of bloggers' issues goes very well with most people especially those who are interested in quality content creation and skill transfers with an aim to contribute positively.

Upvoted and resteemed this article and will be following for more. Thanks!

thank you max. I am mining too but I have always problems with my rigs. so blogging is much better for me

Congratulations! And welcome to all the new members.
