I love that steem just works
When I saw this this post https://steemit.com/steemit/@lyndsaybowes/thanks-to-steemit-i-was-able-to-help-our-family-in-a-tough-time it reminded me again how nice it is to see steemit actually working.
It also showed me how fortunate I am, thx to crypto. Just three to four years ago I went broke trying to start a business, nowadays I am doing better than ever before thanks to crypto.
It is nice to see steemit helping many people make some money on the web in a way that was not possible without a blockchain.
It is also nice to see content and stories we would not see without this platform.
Steemit works because people can easily understand the functionality of Steemit even though they might not understand the blockchain technology that it is built upon. A lot of other blockchains can not provide this level of understandability (at least not yet).
The tech geeks can still find enjoyment in the technology. The content creators can find enjoyment in helping others and getting paid for it. And the content consumers get quality advice, information, and entertainment.

So very true :) I knew nothing about cryptocurrency or blockchain when I started Steemit, and now, I'm really grasping the concepts well, sure it took 10 months hahahaa, but I'm almost there!
There are many different views one can take onto steemit. My initial stimulus to join the steemit community was simply my desire to write blogs. I didn't want to create my own blog on a personal website that nobody would recognize. Now, after 9 month, I have many followers for my own content. But these followers produce their own stunning content, which is very worthful for me to read and to comment. And it is important for me that there is no censorship on steemit.
But as you mentioned, much more can happen on steemit. Today I'm a strong believer in the future of this platform, even there are still many issues.

I love it here! It really hasn't helped much in a monetary way for me yet. It has sewn the seeds for growth and helped me rediscover my creativity though and that is priceless.
