Over $28 In Less Than A Day Of Signing Up - How

When I first got on steemit, I thought I would only have a few cents, if that, in the first week. Well I underestimated the community, and the weeks not over!

My Introduction Post

According to steem.supply I have made over a dollar on my introduction post. Thanks to @timcliff, who upvoted it to 90 cents, I was encouraged. I was just starting to get the gist of everything.

Comments

So after my initial post I started commenting on other's posts that I read, and enjoyed. On one post I commented how cute their dog was, and they upvoted my comment to over 60 cents. (It was really cute). What I learned is as the more engaged I was the more upvotes I got. Now I'm not really about the money, but investing it into steem power, which then I could help others like me.

Utopian.io

Honestly the bulk of my earnings will be from utopian.io. But I didn't add 100 lines of code to a project. I only added 3 lines of CSS, and got upvoted for $26 of author rewards. I realize not everyone is a programmer, but everyone has their own opinions. There is a section on utopian for adding ideas to a project. I don't know how much you'll get, but maybe something.

My point

All I am trying to say is contribute to the community, and they will most likely contribute back. Don't just upvote people's posts. Engage, comment, and reply to their replies. Create a following of people who will like you. And when you make comments, don't be like that guy who rights, "good job". Make them meaningful comments. Steemit is about value, so add value to what you write.

Today I want to talk about my favorite Steem frontend. I really do like Busy.org but I also like steemit.com. It's quite hard for me.
