4 Simple Ways to Crank That SBD Payout

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

The question is...how can I earn more SBD on Steemit?

How can I create an influx of SBD that continues to flow into my wallet on a regular basis?

These are valid questions, and also one of the reasons many join this platform....to earn Steem!

Hi, my name is Ken @kenmelendez and I love talking about cryptocurrency. I hope this article helps you in discovering the answers to your questions.

If it does, feel free to upvote this post, then leave a comment while mentioning my username so I get notified upon submission.

I can't wait to connect with you and share ideas together!

Let's dive into the solutions to help you crank that SBD:

1. Staying Active on Steemit

Activity is the name of the game when it comes to earning SBD on Steemit.

Do not expect to earn when you are not putting forth the necessary effort to do so.

Practical steps to staying active include:

  • Curating (upvoting) 5-10 posts per day

  • Commenting on 5-10 posts per day

  • Mentioning and shouting out other accounts inside your posts

It is best to complete these activities on posts / accounts that are inside of your niche.

For example...if you are into cooking, then upvote and comment on other cooking posts.

If you are into music, then upvote and comment on other music related posts.

The key is to stay active at least every other day on Steemit, if not every day.

Doing so will increase your chances of cranking that SBD, as well as gain you more active followers in the process...(score!)

2. Posting Quality Content on Steemit

What this basically means is...do not publish posts that you spent 2 minutes creating.

Instead, put some serious time and attention into your posts.

One thing I like to do before creating a piece of content is to ask myself this question:

How is this content going to serve my audience?

If you approach your content creation from that perspective, you will always win because you are putting others' well-being ahead of your own.

Even if it takes you 2 or 3 days to write a blog or shoot / edit a video, so be it.

It is better to spend a bit more time on a post to make it high-quality, than to put out a bunch of low-quality posts more frequently.

Make sure your photos are high-quality and full of color to grab people's attention.

A really great resource to edit your photos for your posts is called Canva.

3. Learning How to Market on Steemit

Marketing is a skill that you must master in order to gain exposure to your content once you post it.

The best way that I have found so far on Steemit, is to take advantage of the upvote bots.

Upvote bots are usually dolphin or whale accounts on Steemit that upvote posts after sending Steem or SBD to their wallet.

These bots can be found at SteemBotTracker.com

Although this may sound counter intuitive, to give up your SBD to a bot in order to get some back, it is actually an effective way to gain exposure on Steemit.

The more exposure your posts receive, the better chance you have of ranking on the trending page, therefore gaining you more upvotes, followers, and you guessed it...SBD!

Keep in mind, boosting your posts in this way will not work long-term if you are releasing low-quality content...so make sure it's worth the click.

4. Delegating Your Steem Power

A useful strategy that I have recently employed is called Delegation.

One of the many unique properties surrounding Steem, is the ability to loan out your Steem Power, in return for daily payouts.

For example, I currently delegate a portion of my Steem Power to a witness account called @jerrybanfield.

Each day, I get an automatic deposit into my wallet from this account, because I am contributing to his projects.

I therefore get rewarded each day as a result. The great thing about this strategy is that it is completely passive, and I earn SBD no matter what is going on in my life that day.

So delegation is powerful. The more Steem Power you delegate to an account, the higher the reward you will receive.

If you'd like to learn more about delegation, watch @jerrybanfield 's tutorial here on Dtube.

The last note I'd like to leave you with is this:

Don't get discouraged if you are putting in the effort, and still not seeing the results you want right away.

These things take time. Instead of acting depressed, turn that energy into enthusiasm for honing your craft and expanding your skill sets.

Remember, Rome was not built in a day. Keep at it, and you will see the fruits of your labor.

Your post was a pleasure to read and i found it interesting to see you mention the upvote bots while there is so much talking abouth the usage of the bots being bad for the platform. It is nice to see that honesty!
Thank you for this nice post.

Glad you gained value from this post @liketimmy Yes, boys are quite useful if they are up voting quality content.

This is more than an eye opener to me, thanks a lot for the tips especially on the delegation and bots info.

Glad you received value @abdane thanks for dropping by :)

Thank you , I didnt understand how giving sbd to bots for upvotes actually helped and the delegation seems interesting although i dont have much steem power to give yet :(

Like I mentioned, the easiest and quickest way is to go to your wallet on Steemit, then click the button to buy Steem Power from BlockTrades. Then trade ETH or LTC for Steem Power and it will go directly into your account. Let me know if you have any questions @nutinbutdatruth

I actually didn't know voting bots worked that way.

They sure do. @proditor use them to your advantage!

You got it @mitch0403 take what you learned and apply it for long-term success

Thanks for sharing us the tips on how to earn more sbd that you have learned here in the platform. I wanted to try delegating my SP but is it effective if I only have a low SP?
@kenmelendez

Hi @khat.holanda23 I recommend you have a minimum of 100 SP before you begin delegating it out. Jump onto BlockTrades or Binance and order some Steem while the price is low, then start delegating it!
