LET'S MAKE STEEMIT A PERFECT PLATFORM

in #steemit7 years ago

As human beings it is in our nature to judge others, it is so because when we do it we think we are better than them and somehow feel we are doing justice, if a person does something wrong the law says he must pay, the law does not care about the reasons. The judge rules against people he's never met. If it is right to apply the law blindly then how will we escape God's law if we have all broken it? May we all perish because we are miserable trash who could not honor our Creator. But God had mercy and sent Jesus Christ so that through Him we might be saved. Jesus Christ himself taught us that before we point to the speck in our brother's eye we must remove the beam from our own.

Many of us come to steemit with high expectations, each one giving his best. But after you make the publications you don't find any rewards. Let's face it, the reason we're coming to steemit is because of the rewards, otherwise we'd stay on facebook doing socializing. Why is steemit different from facebook? Because here there is a community that hoards power and that hoarded power is not used to help those who need it, the powerful vote only for other powerful people, people who do not need it. What role do we newcomers play then? We are used to fill steemit with good publications that are then lost in oblivion, while the big ones just for publishing an image receive huge amounts.

Steemit is not working the way it was designed, it is not rewarding the intellectual capacity but the ownership of SP, whoever has more SP will receive more votes and rewards no matter what they publish. This is why the platform is filling up with trash.

A user who, after making many publications, feels that he or she has not been rewarded will look for a way to make money. Currently there are bots that vote for money, they simply vote for money. Is this wrong? According to the principles for which the platform was created if it is wrong, because a person can publish junk content and get more rewards than one who published good quality, also the bots do not read the content, just vote and already. So it's wrong but I wouldn't dare to judge those who use bots, because I do it myself, and I think that when the system is corrupted everyone is looking for a way to survive, if it weren't for the bots many of us would have left the platform long ago.

But there are people who are waiting for you to commit an offence to come to judge you and pass sentence. They never noticed you when you needed them, they never read your content to support you with a vote or to tell you how to make things better, but if they show up to take away what they didn't help you win, This is very bad. I think that all of us who use bots, since it is allowed, use them in quality publications, that would be the duty. But there are those who get corrupted and start filling the platform with garbage, this happens and will continue to happen with the majority of new users who do not receive support. What would be the solution?

Putting offenders on a list without warning is definitely not the answer, and I'll tell you why it's not:

1.- You are not restricting the user but an account, the user can create as many accounts as he wants and you will not stop their activities, we will only have a huge list with accounts disabled and the same trash will continue to be published on the platform by the same user.
2..- We are hurting the users in a selfish way, because we have no morals to judge those we never try to help.

What would be the solution?

1.- Create orientation plans for new users and not just orientation but incentive with positive votes, it is true that we do not have time to read so much content, then create a bot that votes the users' publications for a month from the time of registration while they make social life on the platform and adapt to a world completely unknown to them.

2.- The users who have gone through this process of guidance and help, at the end of the month, should take care of themselves and if they commit a violation try to correct them at least 3 times warning them of the consequences that their actions could bring.

3.- Users who have passed the 3 warnings and continue to commit infractions must be penalized with negative votes in their publications, then they will not have excuses or moral to make any kind of claims.

I'm sure this will put a lot of shine on the platform and help us become better users on the platform.

If someone can create an algorithm that calculates the number of accounts that have more than one month without movement we would be terrified by the number of users that have left the platform, many of those users (especially the new ones), withdraw without having returned the SP that steemit delegates to them, all that SP is frozen, reducing in the long term the capacity of steemit to attract new users.

If things continue as they are now, at the end of the story only the users who started it will remain, those who could reach large amounts of SP. Let us not let steemit die, I would like people with the ability to change the system to be able to read this and reflect on it.
